How the value of philosophy has decreased over time…
Well I’ve been off for two days (I’m not really sure why) and after Obama’s inauguration I had an idea… I don’t think it’s that bad for one who isn’t skilled at photoshopping, unfortunately I found out it’s been done before after I made it. Yesterday I watched a couple of things by coincidence on weird and wonderful things about physics, one was the video below and the other was Horizon: Do You Know What Time It Is? The video below is about how there are (according to string theory) many more dimensions than the three we’re used to, I kind of get it, I need to watch it a few more times. The iPlayer link is about our misconception of time; scary stuff. 3 years ago today, one of my friends, Chris Emberry, tragically passed away. He was only 12; he was an excellent musician and had his whole life ahead of him. May he rest in peace. I am a big Terminator fan, well I would be if they ended it at T2 with the original ending instead of leaving it with a pretty good ending, but oh no! A new director comes along and pulls it out of its retirement home, and completely fucks up the story leaving many contradictions and dissatisfaction. T3 was alright itself but a mess to the whole story, making T2 meaningless… The same thing happened with the Sarah Connor Chronicles and I have a feeling this might too. But from looking at this link it seems to be a promising film (in itself), 10 new terminators, the humans’ journey through post-apocalyptic Los Angeles ruled by machines and the famous “Come with me if you wanna live.” I have watched Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope and Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone several times and I haven’t noticed the connection (or plagiarism) in them. Decide for yourselves. Yes! Welcome! thomas-reddington.com is finally up! Sure there is not much here yet but it shall flourish in the future! I officially cut the virtual ribbon with this post! |
